Access

Access to Dante Studies is a primary benefit of membership in the Dante Society. Current members receive both print copies and electronic access to current and recent issues.

Submissions

Dante Studies accepts submissions of original scholarship in English or Italian on subjects connected with Dante's life, works, sources, influence, and critical reception. We welcome all methodological and theoretical approaches.

Please send submissions by e-mail attachment in MS Word format to dantestudies@gmail.com. Submissions should follow the Dante Studies style guide,, and should be between 7,000 and 10,000 words. An abstract of 100 to 150 words in English should be included with all submissions.

Dante Studies follows a policy of double-blind review of all submissions. Authors should avoid self-references on the title page and in both the argument and the endnotes. Submissions will normally be reviewed by members of the Editorial Board within four to six weeks of receipt.

The Editorial Board of Dante Studies is presently accepting essays for review for Vols. 143/2025 and 144/2026. The deadline for submissions is 15 April 2025.

The latest issue published is 2024 (Vol. 142).

Please address any questions to dantestudies@gmail.com.
